When You're Happy, We're Happy!

Hi Last Hope Friends,

It’s me Alaska!
Well, my name was Clancy but my parents thought Alaska fit me perfect. But mom and dad usually call me Lasky for short.

It’s been 2 months in my forever home and I love it. I am the Prince of my home and I’m so spoiled!! My parents just love me so much, they give me tons of hugs and kisses!!

Mommy has attached some pictures of me. My favorite picture is the one of me standing next to my new toys mommy bought for me. Did I say I was spoiled already…. Oh, another picture of me laying comfortably on the new area rug; funny thing is my parents thought they bought the rug for themselves but it was really for me.

A few favorite parts of each day are my morning and night walks with my Mom & Dad. Also, bed time!! I used to have my own comfy bed but I kind of made my way into my parent’s bed at night. I love to cuddle in between them. (Yup, I sure am spoiled.) But I know my mom gets hardly any sleep; as little as I am I almost push her off the bed.

Also, I just finished obedience school! I have to say I did pretty well. I learned sit, stay, & down when told. Mom & Dad work with me all the time with my commands, and I love the treats when I do well!! My parents are so proud of me!!

Well, gotta go for now. Just wanted to drop a line to say Hello and that I’m doing very well!!!

From,
Alaska (Clancy)

Dear Last Hope,

Isn't he just the cutest? On Sunday we had my parents (Puff's grandparents) over along with my grandmother and they gave him gifts for his B-day. Silly right?

Check out the attached picture of Puff wearing a B-day hat. Anyway, he is pretty spoiled. He does what he pleases. He has a sweet loving personality. He is affectionate with us; not as friendly with people who may come over. He loves to play (he is very active).

Also, he can pick up his dry food with his paw and bring the food up to his mouth (talented).
I haven't really thought about getting another cat, although every time I'm in Petco, they are just look so cute, I want to take them all home.

Attached is also a picture of Lola (Lolamo) who is also from Last Hope. They are getting to be good friends.

"MAMIE and IKE"

Hi Bonnie,

So nice to see you yesterday! I have enclosed some of the most recent photos of "the kids." As you can see, they are very healthy and happy and do have the run of the house.

Mamie

Ike

They are definitely enjoying their lives here and have settled in nicely. We are so lucky to have such sweet and affectionate cats. Mamie and I commune with each other daily. She follows me around from room to room, and we both like to have a snack in the late afternoon. Ike joins John when John is reading The New York Times, and helps him when he is grading papers. We want to thank you and all the wonderful people at Last Hope for all you do for our animal companions. We are truly lucky to have you here on Long Island.

Love from Ike, Mamie, and Stacey and John

Hi! Patches is great! She is so cute, we are all enjoying her so much, and Laura just loves her. Patches is still set up with her litter and food in her "safe room" with Laura, as it is easier to eat without the dogs watching. We have a gate at the door of Laura's room so she can go underneath but the dogs cannot get in. Patches now explores the whole house even when the dogs are around.

Bentley is oblivious and Flash does follow her as he was the first and is a bit jealous. They have all been nose to nose without any hissing, barking, whining or aggressive behavior, so it has moved along more quickly than I thought. Patches has a bed on top of a bookcase in the family room that she can go to so she can be with us but be away from the dogs. That has worked out well for the past week but every day she gets braver and explores more with the dogs close by. This morning I spotted the three of them in the same room with Patches on the bed and the dogs on the floor!

So, Thank you for all of your help and the wonderful pictures you sent of her when she was a kitten.

Hi,

My husband and I adopted Pixie (now Bradi) shortly after Christmas and we just wanted to say Thank You.

She is the most amazing little kitten and has warmed our hearts and become a big part of our new family.

We have only had for a month but it feels like forever.

Attached please find a picture of her in her new home.

Thanks again so much,
Jen, Mike and Bradi
