When You're Happy, We're Happy!

Hi Last Hope,
Monet is doing great! He loves his new home. My brother and his family are totally in love with him. He is so happy and having a great time with all his new family, friends, bed, and toys. My niece and he are inseparable. She was so upset because they had to go away this weekend to bring my nephew to college.

So Monet was at home with me this weekend. He is such a great dog. I cannot believe the conditions he was living in and still so sweet and well behaved. He is almost potty trained. He makes it through the night (out of the crate and in his own bed) without making any mistakes!. He still makes a few during the day, but it seems it is less and less. He is so happy to be free and have a nice yard to run around in.

He is so playful and excited. I would be too!! I am so happy for him that he is so much better off and will have a great life now. Here are a few pictures of him! He is hard to take good pictures of. He is so dark and my furniture is too!!

Thanks to everyone!

Dear Last Hope,

We adopted Sadie from the Cat Center over a month ago. She has adjusted nicely to her new home. She appears to be more secure and comfortable in her surroundings every day.

Sadie has discovered almost all the windowsills in our house and she loves to rub her back on the hallway runner.

She likes to lay in front of the bathroom door in the evenings and 'chat', which means 'pet me!' Sadie also likes to chat with my daughters at 6:30 am in their bedroom! (they happily oblige).

Many thanks to Bruna and everyone at Last Hope for helping us to ensure that Sadie made a smooth transition to her new home.

This little love grew up at the Cat Center for two years and we are so happy to have her!

Dear Last Hope,

I adopted Tiger who was known as Ulysses about ten years ago when he was three.

The best thing I did! He is the most amazing cat. He protects me where ever I go in my apartment. When I come home he runs to the stairs to see that I'm ok.

I do have three other cats that are also wonderful.

I feel that I am truly blessed with Tiger and my other children Anne, Elly, and Roxy.

baby Reeses

I just wanted to send you a picture of our little ones. Reeses is our big boy ( originally Graham ) we got from you and then we rescued Kit-Kat 2 years later from the streets of Brooklyn. They are great together and bring us so much love, as I tell everyone they are my children with fur.. Thank you so much for all your work.

Letty,

A little blurb about how the 3 of us are getting along - in one word - AWESOME.

At first, I was a little apprehensive because Bernie doesn't have well polished manners that a dog his size really needs. After a few long walks, a little swimming and about 50 fetch sessions he is my shadow. It's only been 2 weeks (to the day) and he follows me everywhere. Sits on command and overall has behaved now that he realizes he has a home with a back yard and someone to care and love him.

Let me not forget his playmate, Boy - the cat, he's in the pictures as well. They get along 10 times better than I could have hope for. Boy's head and ear are always wet from Bernie licking him and nibbling on his ears. My experience with Last Hope Animal Rescue has been nothing but outstanding. Thank you for allowing me to take my time to make sure Bernie was the correct addition to my family.

The best things are worth the wait...Thanks again.

Dear Friends at Last Hope,

We cannot thank you all enough for the gift of our wonderful cat Moxie (you knew her as Veronica). She is a wonderful addition to our family and we simply adore her. She is the most loving, sweet cat we have ever met.

She loves to play and lounge in the sun. After following your advice about how to introduce her to our older cat, Emmitt, the transition was very easy. They became fast friends and now share the sunny spots by the window after only a few days. We have been so happy to have such a fantastic cat and we know that so much of that is due to the care and love you all gave her before she came to us. Thank you for the work you do to help kitties find the homes that they were meant to have, and the families that were meant to love them.

Andie and Michael
and Emiitt and Moxie too!!

   Dear Last Hope,
When we first saw China in Petco, we fell in love with her. Seeing that she was 11 years old, we just had to have her, to offer her the best years, however many that she has left. After all that she has been through, she deserved a loving home forever with us.

China is adapting nicely. She has taken over the family room and loves  that cushion. We thought we would change her name, but China seems to be sticking; however, her nickname is Gorda (Spanish for fat). She is really a gift and is quite funny. China has a comment for everything.

Thank you, Last Hope, for matching us together forever.
